I hope.
I went to county today to get help with rent/mortgage. I hope they help me. Not sure though. It's not like I live off of the government or anything. I ask for help once in a great while when I really need it. I have to have at least 50% of my disposable income going toward necessitites (house, elec, heat, food, gas to get to work-that's about it) Here's the kicker, I have to have SPENT over half my income on these things in order to get help. Okay, if I was spending over half my income on rent, I wouldn't be behind now would I? It's the other dump shit I got myself into. Yes, I got myself into it so I should get myself out. I hear you loud and clear. It's just not that easy. No detail on this I'm just too tired and need to go to sleep.
On a brighter, not so brighter note - Yah!!!! Saddam is going down, finally! Also, John Edwards running for Dem Nomination in 2008 - I'm happy for that. I like that guy. He reminds me a lot of Clinton. I still hope Hilary makes a run for it, but if not at least I've got John.

all people need a little help from time to time. and there is a huge difference between someone who truly is trying to make ends meet and someone who is lying to milk the system and be a slug.
for example: ferber construction outta st cloud. not only do they pay cash under the table to save on taxes, all the guys collect unemployment all winter long, while they tell the system that they are looking for work. what a joke. fuckers.
I hope everything goes really really well for you with the assistance stuff. THey have those programs for a reason, for people like you who need some help. So don't worry, people who's opinions you would value don't look down on you for that!

I'm not saying he's not a good dude but after his failure as 2nd banana to pinnochio, the wooden boy i don't think he's got what it takes. i want howard dean back. the whole scream thing was so stupid. I just watched a clip of it the other day. It was SO nothing big! He was amping up the audience and he said "Heeyaaaaaah!" Big deal! It wasn't menacing or psycho or anything. I like Obama. I like the idea of a rising star in the white house. I like the idea of someone who's not white in the white house. I also, however, believe that nothing will turn out the republican vote quite like a black person to vote against. An unfortunate prediction which I wish weren't true, but I'm pretty sure it is. Please, no Hilary Clinton though. Of all the educated, politically experienced, and liberal women in the U.S. she's the best one for the job? I doubt it. She kinda scares me. She remind of Martha Stewart and I sure as hell wouldn't want Martha Stewart in the white house. Remember the episode of Futurama where Nixon's head has the giant war-bot body after he wins and he starts wreckin' up the place? That is what I envision with Hilary Clinton in the white house.

I disagree, I think it will turn out a lot more than that! There's racists all over the place and a lot of them keep it well hidden.
I agree with the black thing, but also remember, it will bring out a lot of votes on the other end too. Virtually every black eligible voter will go to the polls. I also like Obama. That would be cool to have a non-white in the White House - rename the house already damn it. I disagree on the Hilary Clinton thing. I think she is one of the smartest, strongest women for the job. Remember, she knows the deal already. She would be a step ahead of any other smart woman out there. Besides I like her (& Bill's) ideas. If we can't have Bill back, I want Hilary.
What's wrong with John? I like him. Can't do any worse than what we've had the past 6 years already so shit I'm voting on personality and looks this time! I'm gonna try to have a little fun with it.
